Simba has announced its withdrawal from the Kagame competition which is expected to take place in early August in Dar es Salaam.

Simba team coordinator Abbas Ally has said they will not participate in the Kagame Cup to give players a chance to relax.

“We left the Champions League and then continued to play in the Premier League and now we have finished the Azam Confederation Cup (ASFC) with a bang by winning the title against our rival Yanga.

"Players need a break even if it is for a short time but it will help them keep their bodies in shape. After 10 days of rest they will return to camp, ”said Abbas.

Abbas said they have had four good seasons including winning the league title four times in a row and winning the ASFC title twice in a row.

“We have made history by winning trophies as well as beating Yanga and taking the championship in front of him. In the league they beat us but in ASFC we have won the championship softly, ”said Abbas
