Simba Queens plan to do wonders in the Africa Women Champions League

Tanzania Women's Premier League (WPL) Champions Simba Queens are expected to enter the camp on June 16 to prepare for the international women's championship.

Simba will represent Tanzania in the Regional Championship which is expected to take place in Kenya from July 17 this year after winning the league title with 54 points over their rivals Yanga Princess with 53 points.

The tournament will feature teams from Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djbout, Kenya and South Sudan.

Speaking about their participation in the new International Women's Championship, Simba Queens Head Coach Mussa Mgosi said, they will be well prepared to win the new tournament in Africa and become the first champions.

He said, he knows and realizes the competition will be tough so it is his responsibility as a coach to make the team compete and win not participate.

"I have a lot of respect for all our opponents that we will meet in the tournament, unprepared is a futile task, now the players are on a short break, June 16 will return to continue preparations," said Mgosi.

He said, he will make sure he fights to make sure his players do well in the tournament in which the champion will represent the CECAFA region in the African Women's  Champions League to be held in Morocco later this year.

MABINGWA Ligi Kuu ya Wanawake Tanzania (WPL) Simba Queens wanatarajia kuingia kambini Juni 16 kujiandaa na michuano ya wanawake kimataifa.

Simba itaiwakilisha Tanzania katika michuano ya Kanda inayotarajiwa kufanyika Kenya kuanzia Julai 17 mwaka huu baada ya kutwaa ubingwa wa ligi hiyo ikiwa imefikisha pointi 54 kwa kuwazidi mahasimu zao Yanga Princess wenye pointi 53.

Michuano hiyo itashirikisha timu kutoka nchi za Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djbout, Kenya na Sudan Kusini.
